If you have problems with the installation of KBasic, you are right here

64 bit compilation possibility

Should I be able to compile kbasic to run on 64bit linux?

If not I guess that means I'll have to start sticking with gambas..

I'm hoping there's a possibility to have kbasic work on 64bit linux.. I've tried about an hour today to try to get it to compile but kept getting t_token message issues..(debian lenny amd64)

It is not 64bit ready, but the successor Q7Basic is prepared for 64bit support. Therefore, plans for a 64bit KBasic are not there anymore.
