Suse 10.2 install

If you have problems with the installation of KBasic, you are right here

Suse 10.2 install

The installer seems to work, i.e. there are no errors reported. As I do not have any icons displayed on my desktop the .desktop file does nothing, but examining the file gives me enough data to manually create a kmenu entry which does nothing. From a console entering ./kbide gives a more meaningful error message -
./kbide: error while loading shared libraries: libQtSvg.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This library is part of libqt4-x11 which I have version 4.3.3-15.1 installed. Could it be that KBasic cannot read the x86_64 libraries? If so when will KBasic support 64 bit? Until that time I will be unable to test it let alone purchase it. If it was possible to install from source then I should be able to compile against the 64 bit libraries or am I thinking to simplistic?

The error messages says that you need to install libQtSvg.so.4, which is part of Qt4. It is not related to 64 bit, I believe.
Try to find this file on your system. If it is not available, install it.

As I pointed out initially I have got Qt4 installed including libQtSvg.so.4 it is part of libqt4-x11 4.3.3-15.1 and is 64 bit, I cannot install the i586 32 bit version without removing the 64 bit version.
