It is supposed to work on Mac 10.4 yet.
Open terminal.app and goto the installation directory of KBasic and goto
and type
- Code: Select all
cd KBasic.app
cd Contents
cd MacOS
./kbide
Tell us the error you get.

If i read it correctly the problem is not Tiger but the CPU.
I have installed the latest KBasic version on OSX 10.4.x and it worked fine.

Looks like the newest version is for Intel only by accident. I have to investigate, because I switched my Mac and to the latest Qt.

Found out the problem:
--> The error message says the programme exits because the binary has been compiled with the cpu-subtype value set too high for G3 Macs.
I am sorry, but the current download binary package is compiled for G4 and above or newer Intel Macs.
You have a chance to get a running KBasic, if you download the source codes and recompile it on your Mac as binary.
Due to lack of time, I have not time to change the binary version of KBasic. Good luck!
