I'm using a Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 (Etch with kernel version 2.6.16.27) based distribution with KDE 3.5. I've downloaded the
installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin and followed the steps to install it. When I type
- Code: Select all
./installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin
in a terminal, it prints:
- Code: Select all
./installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by ./installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin)
I searched my repositories for a newer libc6 but the newest that will not break my system is 2.3.6. Is there any workaround for this?
