If you have problems with the installation of KBasic, you are right here

Libc6 (GLIBC 2.4) Problem

Postby nlibiran » Wed Oct 22, 2008 6:39 am

I'm using a Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 (Etch with kernel version 2.6.16.27) based distribution with KDE 3.5. I've downloaded the installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin and followed the steps to install it. When I type
Code: Select all
./installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin
in a terminal, it prints:
Code: Select all
./installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by ./installer_kbasic_professional_linux.bin)
I searched my repositories for a newer libc6 but the newest that will not break my system is 2.3.6. Is there any workaround for this? :?:

Do you have Qt 4.4 libraries installed on your system? You need them to run kbasic.
A workaround would be to offer an additional package (zipped files) on the download section.
